experimentation

Love the experimentation here, I don't believe I've ever seen art made with food coloring and if I did the artist didn't admit to it. Did it get out of hand while working with it?

its incredibly hard to control, had a couple of mistakes here and there but tried over and over until i got what i wanted

composition, wireframe

Love this piece. Reminds me of those books you see around...pardon ignorance of the title as I have not read them.

I was wondering if you could perhaps post some wireframe shots? I don't know why but I've always loved the "in progress" shots of 3D artwork. I tend to always set the curves to render in maya when I do progress shots or turn polygroups/wireframe on in zbrush.

Awesome stuff! I've been looking for a long time for other 3d artists on newgrounds and have found two in the past few days. I thought only flash artists were welcome here...I have been proven wrong!

3D newgrounds

You know I didn't think there were other 3d modelers on newgrounds, kind of figured there wasn't anything for me here...you sir, have inspired me to give newgrounds another chance.

Might I ask what program you use? Also I noticed the surfaces of your models are usually quite smooth, do you use any detail sculpting software like zbrush or mudbox? I'm slowly getting the hang of zbrush, 4r2 is amazing....dynamesh...awesome.

Anyway I shall keep a close eye on your work! Again thanks for giving me a reason to try to get back on newgrounds.

Very Original

Man...I keep coming back to your gallery everyday and just looking through to get inspired. Your work makes me want to push even harder with my 3d modeling, I can see every single one of your characters as a kickass 3d model.

hooray! i'm glad my stuff inspires you!

that's always a great compliment to get.

thanks!

layout

I really like the backdrop you use, very simple and it seems to work well on everything you use it on.

jouste responds:

hey thanks!

i really got step up my game and get some good backgrounds rolling. but until then it shall be these simple ones. thanks for the high score!

trigger

great job! nice work on the wood grain and the blade seems fitted well, lighting isn't too bad. only thing I think seems lacking is the trigger as it seems more of a button than a trigger.

I throw pixels and polygons together till they resemble something interesting...
